Seriously....

I know the legal system is set up to have everyone's best interests in mind, but my friend is being screwed by it and I just can't take it anymore. Someone please explain to me how a judge can tell a mother that he doesn't care about her and that he only cares about her daughter and give over unsupervised visiting rights to a man who grabs his daughter from her mother's arms then shoves her from the top steps of the house landing the mother in the hospital with a concusion, then proceed to tell my friend the fathers never done anything to the child, he needs his chance to be a parent. A parent? Are you freakin' kidding me? Let me tell you about his parenting skills. Never has he changed a diaper. Never has come to see his daughter during the supervised visitation at his own mother's house. Never have I seen him even care that he fathered a child EXCEPT to get back at my friend because that little girl is the one thing she cares about in the whole world. What kind of man walks into a restaurant, grabs the child, forces the mother to come with him, throws her off the steps THEN kidnaps the little girl and takes her only GOD knows where and leaves her for 3 days and says you can have her back when you move back into my house. 5 days ago he wanted to give up rights to her. For 3 weeks now he hasn't paid child support. Today the judge tells my friend he will do nothing about the child support but will give visiting rights to a father who is abusive and explosive. Then tells him, the hardest ages of raising a kid is between birth and 3 years of age, now it'll be easy for you to care for her. So, I guess when the kid or it's mother is killed by this lunatic, that judge can sleep well at night knowing he "did the right thing."

The world sucks people. I can only pray that GOD watches over them and protects them because apparently the judicial system isn't.
