If you need a good laugh...

Go see "New In Town." The entire theater was full on Friday night and we all laughed throughout the entire movie. Sometimes I just need to see a movie that I don't have to think about, one I can just watch and laugh and then go on about my life.

So we got the next section of our fence put up this weekend. My dogs are happily back home after being kenneled for a week. They were exhausted last night and slept quietly!

I had a good time at Heather's house on Sunday for the superbowl. I saw people that I don't get to see near as often as I like to. I may be the only one besides Tracey who was less than impressed with the commercials during the game. So, if I never see another superbowl game, I think my life will continue! I'm not really that avid of a football fan, I really just went to see everyone that was going to be there. I'm a social football enthusiast perhaps.

Not much going on this week. I hope everyone has a good week!

Bad weather days

So I just got news that dance is cancelled for tonight. I'm not really happy about it seeing as I have to make the classes up some Saturday before June. I'll get over it though....probably about the time I get home and realize I can put on my fleece pants and lay around all afternoon. haha

I had chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. Am I the only one who still eats Campbells soup from a can? And I heat it in the microwave without adding water because I don't like it all watered down.

I'm sore from digging post holes this past weekend for our fence. The muscles around my armpits hurt and my hands. I feel like an old woman complaining about my joints and arthritis. It's just sore muscles but man can it make you feel like crap! Obviously I need to work out. And I have more fence duty to look forward to this weekend. I'm just hoping to be done so I can make it to Heather's for the Super Bowl party! This means no roadtrip to Lubbock for RRB/EYB this weekend either. Things I do for my freakin' dogs.....haha j/k

I've finished reading all the Stephanie Plum books. I've finished the Stephanie Meyers books. I've done more reading in the past few months that I have ever, except for college, but that was mandatory reading so it doesn't count! I need suggestions on what to read next. I just picked up "The Song Reader" by Lisa Tucker. And so far it's really good.

Thanks to V for getting me hooked on secrettweet. I swear some of those tweets could be written about me or by me. And like Tracey said it makes my life seem relatively NORMAL. I feel like making some random tweet on there...one that all of you will know that I posted just to see if anyone sees it. haha I need a life.

A new year begins....

So I started off the year at Lori's apartment with her, Deidre, Jordan, and Jake. Lori's son is so cute. He came into the room and hugged Deidre and I and said, "Thank you for coming. Happy New Year." We watched "Mamma Mia," drank wine then champagne, watched the ball drop in NYC, then rung in the New Year on channel 8. The best part of the night was Jordan watching the Jonas Brothers on tv. She was trying to record it with her phone. OH! And she took me to her room to show me the life-size cutout of Joe Jonas hanging on her wall that she got for Christmas...I kid you not she opened the door and I was taken back to 1988 when my walls were adorned with NKOTB, especially Joey Mac. Her room looked just like mine, just a different generation and a different band.

Friday night I went to a baby shower for my friend, Maritza, who was in town from NYC for the holidays. I've known her since we were in jr. high. And the funny thing is, we both look just like we did back then. I don't think either one of us has aged! haha I was glad to see her. We used to see each other twice a week, but since she got married and moved to NYC I've seen her maybe twice in the past 1 1/2 years! I've missed her! It was fun hearing about her new life up there.

New Year's Eve morning my friend's Mom died. We all knew it was coming. She had been battling illness and was just diagnosed with a brain tumor, so they've basically been keeping her pain free until the inevitable. I spent Saturday attending the funeral. Now funerals are sad, but they always bring people together that haven't seen each other in a long time. I experienced this. I enjoyed seeing these people despite the reason we had all come together.

Saturday evening Mom and I went to half-priced books. The whole time I'm piling books in the carrier I'm hearing an old college professor yelling at my class about never buying a book a half-priced books because the author never gets one cent of that money. Well, then don't sell your damn hard back books for $30 or more. So, to spite him, I spent $100. Go me!

Sunday I got had lunch with my grandparents! We met at our favorite Chinese food. It was so yummy! I'm so lucky to still have a set of grandparents still alive that I can spend time with. I am blessed.
