Yeah that's what I had for breakfast after only eating once yesterday and waking up starving this morning! Go me! I'm certain that's in no one's diet plan.
So, I had a great weekend! On Friday night I went with Deidre and Michelle to the Wolf's Mardi Gras show. MMC, EYB, NJ, CCRW. They all rocked my face off :) Tracey and I both agree that the new Micky Braun and Randy Rogers song has a very Randy Rogers feel to it. You can just tell he had something to do with it. The EYB played the new "Radio Waves" song. It was awesome full band. And it's so amazing to me to hear the entire crowd singing all their songs to them. It's a very surreal moment. I got to talk to Steve Rice...he cracks me up. I heart him. I had to inform him about the "new" Gilley's behind Palladium Ballroom. He was intrigued. I saw the EYB boys...with all new BLONDE girlfriends...but Mike. It was weird. Speaking of Mike and hair....apparently he's channeling Jennifer Aniston a'la first season of "Friends" because his hair was doing a perfect little flip in the back. Weird. I should do a collage of Mike Eli hair through the years, it would crack ya'll up! Anyway, it was a good time.
Saturday I finally got out of bed at 11 am and got showered and went to eat with my Mom. I lounged around all afternoon and then went to my favorite Julie's apartment for margaritas. Then we headed to BJs for some food. It was good to see her. I miss her. But, I'm happy to say she's moved back from Denton, so hopefully I'll see more of her!
Sunday after lunch and a trip to Walmart, Mom and I rented 3 movies from blockbuster to watch through the superbowl since neither one of us are big fans of football. The "Nanny Diaries" is really funny. And then we watched "The Ultimate Gift." That was good and sad. We still have "Knocked Up" to watch...I'm certain there'll be no problem watching that this week since TV is boring.
Funny story: I got home from dinner with Julie and Mom was watching some Lifetime channel movie. And there's this band playing on there. I only hear it, I don't see it. And I go, "why are the Lost Trailers singing in this movie?" It was "Mary" which was even more random. And it was totally Stokes singing too....but it wasn't Stokes on the TV. It was some random "we all look pretty" band lip syncing the song. I just thought it was funny that they chose some old Trailers song and none of that new junk they've been releasing and that it was Stokes...because for some reason they all think that if Ryder sings it's gonna make them millions. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox.
Everyone have a great week!

I'll Bring Texas To You
Johnny Cooper. I heart him. ALOT. The show was great at Hanks. I'm thankful we will now be on a hiatus from Hanks for a while. I was tired of smelling like an ashtray every time I left there. It was so bad on Saturday night that when I got home and walked into the den my Mom goes, "take those clothes off and put them on the washer. You smell horrible." Gotta love Mom. Anyway, JCoop played some new songs and let us know a new record is in the works. This excites me more than you could possibly know....except for maybe a certain EYB album that needs to come out...NOW.
Oh I need to upload my pictures of me in the infamous dress I wore to the wedding. I was told a billion times how great I look. My favorite Amy Jo even told me my makeup looked professional. Well I don't know about that, but she is a hairstylist/makeup artist, so who knows.
One last thing before I end this....our favorite Jamie recorded 4 NEW Ryan Turner songs from his Wolf front porch show and has graciously e-mailed them to me. If any of you are interested, I would be happy to forward the e-mails to you so you too can enjoy them :)
Everyone have a great week. My only excitement is Mardi Gras on Friday for this weekend. Looking forward to it :) Props to our favorite M for scoring us some tickets :) We love her!

Heather's Baby's Daddy
I LOVE RYAN TURNER!! Here's a video from the acoustic show at Hat Tricks I took with my camera! ENJOY!

p.s.--Dear Gary Kyle, I would never openly admit that I recorded a live album at Hat Tricks. And it had probably been a long time since you'd seen Deidre and I because, well frankly, we don't like your music. Mr. Light My Candle.
I also took a video of John Fullbright at Hank's while Mike and the band took a break.

Everyone have a great rest of the week! And Heather...the new puppy is so cute, I can't wait to meet her!

Nobody's Fool
So, this past weekend was an amazing one for music. I have been turned on to the tunes of Amanda Graves. She is so amazing! I guess I just never really went to take a listen to her myspace page. But, live she is awesome! I can't say enough about her. She opened with MMC's "July Your A Woman" and had me hooked until she left the stage. I would check her out if she comes to your area. You won't be disappointed. As Rockman told me, "she's the only girl singer I really like." haha AND then McClure hit the stage. I don't even have to say anything because those of you who read this already know the greatness that is McClure. And greatness it was. That's all I'm gonna say about the evening. ;)
I saw "27 Dresses" this weekend as well. What a great movie in my opinion. I laughed. Alot. So I recommend seeing it.
Speaking of dresses I have a wedding to attend this coming weekend for a girl I have known for 20 years. I decided that for the first time since I went prom dress shopping that I would wear a dress to the wedding. I promise to take a picture of myself before I head out. Be prepared to be impressed. haha!
On Sunday I went to my grandparents to visit for the afternoon. My cousin, Tim, came over and was telling me about how he had gone to some place near Terrell to see a band with his friends. He asked me if I knew of the singer that sang a song that had something to do with a picture and freezing his life. I started laughing and I go, "Are you talking about Brandon Rhyder?" and then proceeded to sing "Freeze Frame Time." And he was like, "Yeah that's it!" It made me smile.
Today has been an extremely tough one. I left work in tears over something really stupid, but it did make me realize that there are some relationships that need change. I'm not one to be extremely spiteful or wish things upon people, but when the first thing that flashes in my head is for this person to rot in hell, then there's a problem...and it's not me. So, from this point forward, I am done. There are alot of things that are important to me, but this has suddenly become something that is no longer important. And, perhaps I'm relieved by that.
